Our 15 000 m2 state-of-the-art production facility in West Bekaa, Lebanon has been designed from start to finish with the safety of our products and the health of our consumers in mind. Fitted with the best equipment on the market, the plant runs breakfast cereal, cereal bar and chocolate bar lines, leveraging cutting edge technologies.
In order to guarantee the safety of our products, a one-directional flow system is implemented within our factory, ensuring that production begins at the raw material warehouse and follows a structured path without going backward, according to strict quality policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The production process is completely automated, and no humans touch the products at any stage, minimizing safety hazards. Thorough records are maintained, allowing us to trace back products at any time should the need arise.
Accordingly, Poppins products adhere to the highest international (Codex Alimentarius) and local standards (LIBNOR) and the legal requirements of Lebanon and all of its countries of export. Our factory was awarded the
ISO 22000:2005: Food Safety Management System certificate in 2008 in recognition of its stringent hygiene standards and quality control and safety procedures. Our products have also been certified to conform to Lebanese standard NL 609:2002 by the Industrial Research Institute (IRI).
Internally, quality control checks are carried out at different stages of the production and packing processes, and regular audits are performed to ensure that our systems are effectively implemented. Scheduled pest control and cleaning programs are also conducted. As for our team members, they benefit from continuous quality and hygiene related trainings to ensure that they are fully prepared to maintain the cleanest and safest production environment possible.
